Hello Friends,

Meet Sparrow. Sparrow was sitting in church as his dad asked the two of us (Andy + Brinly) to come forward. Their church then prayed for us and gave an invitation for anyone to give to The Gathering. The pastor, Casey, mentioned that every dollar mattered. After service, Sparrow approached us with a folded-up $1 bill and asked where he could give his dollar to the church. We were so moved by his act of generosity and willingness to give something that mattered to him to build a new church halfway across the country from his home. Every dollar does matter, but more than that, God is working to advance His kingdom in the hearts of kids and adults around the world. We are just joining in His work.

We hope you are having a great summer. We wanted to share that precious story and also update you on all the things happening.

We have started Men’s, Women’s, and a Middle School Bible Study. We finished, I believe, the 5th Bible Study for Middle School, and it is going amazing. One of our main goals is to invest in the next generation. We want this to be a foundational part of what we do as we start the church. As we have core team meetings, our core team kids are right there with us, giving their feedback and ideas. We love it.

We also went with the core team to Dallas and did a church planting training together.

We also starting to serve our community. This week and next week we are helping with crafts at a children’s program at Spring of Grace Church.

We’ve had the opportunity to shadow two church plants. We went to The Refinery Church in Temecula, CA, and Bold City Church in Burleson, TX. One is barely 6 months old, and the other is 4 years old. We were able to be at The Refinery for their opening day in their new building.

Andy also gets to go back to Burleson to preach in just a couple of weeks.

🎯 Prayer

Here are a few specific ways you can pray with us:

We are looking for open doors with awareness events. These are events that would allow us to be able to set up a tent, give out free stuff, and let people know about the launch. Locations are usually at city events, farmers’ markets, etc. As of now, it’s been tough to get responses.

Pray for our family, and that we would keep encouraging each other, as sometimes the season gets a little stressful.

Pray for finances and funding as we continue to raise money. Soon, we will begin raising money for all of our launch equipment and are trusting God to provide.

We are also actively looking for a location. Pray for the right area of town. That God would have exactly what He needs. Pray for affordable rent and amazing renters.
